Lisa Ward


Lisa Ward - Director Lisa grew up in and around Hertford, attending school locally therefore has a good knowledge of the local area and its recent history. Lisa started her career working in Silver Service for corporate hospitality which provided her with fantastic experience and an opportunity to develop her skills and knowledge of how to provide a high level of customer service. Following the 3 years she spent in this sector Lisa followed her passion by forging a career in property. Lisa has worked in various property fields which include Lettings, Sales and Block Management. The breadth of experience Lisa gained over ten years provided her with a wealth of knowledge and an insight into how she felt an Estate Agent should operate. This soon grew into a business model which focused on the customer and offering a different experience. At this point in 2010 Lisa established SageWard Residential Lettings Ltd. The business was created on the premise of combining a high level of customer service and extensive knowledge with honesty and a sense of ownership. This model soon proved to be successful and became very well regarded by customers in a short space of time. Lisa was able to grow the company quickly and recruited like-minded staff who understand the unique selling points of the business.

Sageward is an all-female company that prides itself on meeting customer needs. Lisa and her team appreciate that the majority of new business originates from word of mouth which fills her with a sense of pride. In 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020 this was further recognised when the feedback from customers resulted in winning a nationally recognised award at the ESTAS, where SageWard on all occasions was awarded the best Letting Agent in the South East. SageWard lettings were also award the Gold Award for Best Lettings Agent in Hertford in 2022 by the British Property Awards. This has now followed through to Ward Estates with Ward Estates claiming the Gold Award also for Best Estate Agent in Hertford 2022, as awarded by the British Property Awards.

Nicola Hopps

Sales Manager

Nicola began her career working in hospitality where her ambition to work in an industry/company which delivered a high level of customer service began. Nicola went on to join a reputable Estate Agent in Leeds where she grew up, starting as an apprentice. She soon developed her knowledge and skills along with a passion for property and helping people to sell and find their home. This soon led to her progressing to the position of Sales Negotiator which she held for five years.

Nicola then decided to have a career break to travel the world where she experienced living in different cultures and had many wonderful experiences. Whilst travelling Nicola met her partner which resulted in her re-locating to Hertfordshire where she has been happily settled for approaching 7 years. Nicola took an opportunity to work for an events company in Hertfordshire for two years before the chance for her to move back into property sales presented itself with Ward Estates.

Nicola was initially employed by SageWard Residential Lettings in 2016 where she assisted the Lettings team with a view to establishing a company that specialised in sales. In this time she gained knowledge of SageWard’s ethos and approach. This provided Nicola with the grounding to support her transition into Ward Estates. Nicola is a true asset to Ward Estates bringing extensive knowledge and understanding of the Sales market as well as the enthusiasm and desire to support people in the sale and purchase of property which has led her to become Ward Estates Sales Manager. Nicola has completed her NAEA Level 2 & 3 in Sales of Residential Property.
